Privacy Policy
Last updated: 14 July 2026
Your immigration journey involves personal — and sometimes very sensitive — information, and we take protecting it seriously. This policy explains what we collect, how we use it, who helps us run the service, and the choices and rights you have.
1. Who we are
Immigrate ("we," "us") is a service operated by Immigration Shift (a formal company may be established before public launch — this page will be updated when that happens). For any privacy question or request, contact us at hachim@aiimmigrate.com.
2. Information we collect
We collect: (a) account information — your email address and sign-in credentials; (b) the details you give us during onboarding and as you use the service — such as your destination country and region, country of origin, your goals, an estimated points score where relevant, your journey phase, and your preferred language; (c) your personalized journey plan; (d) the messages you send to, and receive from, the "Ask Immigrate" assistant; (e) answers you provide to eligibility questionnaires; and (f) basic technical information needed to run the service securely, such as logs. We do not need — and ask you not to enter — passport numbers, government ID numbers, or financial account numbers.
3. Sensitive topics and asylum
Some topics, especially asylum and refugee protection, are highly sensitive. The assistant is deliberately designed not to collect, store, or repeat the details of a protection claim — it provides general orientation and points you to accredited help only. Please do not paste the full story of your claim, or copies of your identity or case documents, into the chat.
4. How we use your information
We use your information to build and update your personalized journey, answer your questions, operate your account and any subscription, keep the service secure, and improve how it works. We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use it for third-party advertising.
5. AI processing
To generate your journey and answer your questions, the content you provide (such as your onboarding answers and the questions you ask) is sent to our AI provider, Anthropic, which processes it to produce a response and returns it to us. This processing happens so we can deliver the feature you asked for.
6. Service providers we rely on
We use a small set of trusted providers who process data on our behalf, under their own security and confidentiality commitments: Supabase (secure database and sign-in), Anthropic (the AI that generates journeys and answers), and Vercel (hosting and delivery of the app). If and when we enable payments or outbound email, we will use established providers for those functions (for example, a payment processor and an email-delivery service) and update this policy.
7. International transfers
Our providers may process your information in the United States and other countries. Where the law requires it — for example, for users in Spain and the wider EU under the GDPR — such transfers rely on appropriate legal safeguards.
8. How long we keep your information
We keep your information for as long as your account is active. If you delete specific data or close your account, we delete or anonymize your personal information when it is no longer needed, unless we are required to keep some of it to meet a legal obligation.
9. Your rights
Depending on where you live — including under the GDPR in Spain and the EU, and PIPEDA in Canada — you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or receive a copy of your personal information, and to object to or withdraw consent for certain uses. You can manage much of this from your account settings, or contact us at hachim@aiimmigrate.com. You also have the right to complain to your local data-protection authority.
10. Cookies
We use only the essential cookies needed to keep you signed in and to keep the service secure. We do not run third-party advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.
11. Security
We use industry-standard measures to protect your data, including access controls that isolate each account's data so that one user cannot read another's. No system is perfectly secure, but we work continuously to safeguard your information and will notify you and the relevant authorities of a serious breach where the law requires.
12. Children
Immigrate is intended for adults (18+). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we will remove it.
13. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy over time. If we make material changes, we will let you know, and the "last updated" date above will change.
